Hog Blog Friends In The Field – A-zone Success

September 16, 2013

Ian's A zone buckWell, I’m still waiting for my deer season to open up (12 more interminable days) and I guess some of you guys who are already in the field can’t help rubbing it in!  Ian, I’m talking about you!  I thought we were friends!

Seriously, big congrats, Ian, on this beauty of an A-zone buck!  I know you put in the time for him, and definitely reaped the rewards!

Nice! I’ve seen some good A-zone bucks get killed this year. My A-zone buck was old, even though it was a small 4-point, so it made me happy to know I harvested an older buck.

Yeah, Eric, this guy was old too — Roman-nosed and quite grey in the face. Hope he retained his tastiness in his old age!

Ian, he retained his tastiness through old age and even the 4hr uphill drag through brush and dirt 🙂
