Global Writers’ Block?

February 25, 2014

I was feeling pretty bad about the infrequency of my blog updates, until I went surfing around my blog roll.  Apparently I’m not the only one who’s dredging the bottom for content ideas or for motivation (although I’m glad to see the Suburban Bushwhacker is back at it).  I guess it should make me feel better …

So, because I’m lacking and for those who want something of substance on the site, here’s a little literary deconstruction for you:

Same here. I’ve actually been busy writing, but on other stuff and the blog has suffered as a result. Probably gonna be slow for the next month or so. Hopefully warm weather in a month or so will wake up the interest…

I’m with ya, Chad. I’m writing my ass (or brain) off, but just not about fun stuff. This time of year is always the doldrums anyway, but it seems to extend a little deeper for everyone this season.

    Totally off the subject:

Where is all the ammo? I can’t even buy brass or bullets. I’m so desperate that I’m considering buying a 17th century blunderbuss. I can load it with splitshot sinkers and marbles and rocks and Chicken Tenders and maybe down a pigeon every 10th shot or so. Anybody know where I can order 22lr?

There’s something going on. A conspiracy. Probably the Irish.

Hey, Phillip. How about making the math problems at the end of these posts easier. 7 minus 1 equals…. My slide rule is at the repair shop and solving these advanced math problems is giving me a headache. Ease up!!

Heya, Bruce. Funny, the ammo shortage seems to have eased locally… at least for the most part… but I just saw another post over at Field and Stream decrying the ongoing lack of ammo. I figured it would take a while for supply to catch up, but by all accounts, the “hoarders” are grabbing everything that comes down the pike… often for resale on auction sites or gun shows. Not sure the solution there. Danged Irish.

As far as the math problems… well, from your comment, at least now I know the tool is working. I just couldn’t take another afternoon sorting through pending comments to separate the real ones from the spam. Had to do something, so you may want to borrow another slide rule.
